SAVE DANES MOSS

Auction of Paintings

for Save Danes Moss

Nearly £1500 raised for Save Danes Moss!

All the paintings above were auctioned by sealed bid between 26 September and 17 October 2023 in aid of Save Danes Moss. The work was by me (Benmo!) with additional pieces by Sue Asbury and Pauline Meade.

Danes Moss is an ancient peatland in Macclesfield, Cheshire. It is a globally scarce habitat that supports a rich biodiversity, including rare and protected species and is a vital carbon store. Cheshire East Council and Barratt Homes are part of plans to destroy this wild habitat and replace it with a vast housing estate, despite being on target to surpass their house building targets. Save Danes Moss campaigns to stop this disastrous plan and secure a better future for this priority habitat.

About Sue Asbury. Sue Asbury lives and works in Bollington on the edge of the Peak District. She studied graphic design at Stockport College and built a 15-year career as a designer before making the transition into fine art. She has overlapping interests in abstract and figurative painting, with an eye for the everyday and overlooked. www.sueasbury.co.uk
